Process Overview

A collective agreement (CA) is an agreement made between a trade union of employees and an employer on the terms and conditions of employment of the employees. Under the Industrial Relations Act, it has to be delivered to IAC within one week of signing for certification. On certification, the agreement is deemed to be an award and is binding on the employer and the union and their lawful successors.
