To ask the Acting Minister for Manpower (a) whether secondary employment is permitted for Work Pass Holders granted a Security Officer’s Licence; and (b) if not, how the Government enforces compliance to detect and address any unauthorised practices.

Answer:

1. Work Pass Holders granted a Security Officer’s Licence can only work for their designated employer. They are not allowed to engage in secondary employment by taking on another job. MOM takes a serious view towards such illegal employment activities. We will investigate upon receiving any complaints and take enforcement action against the employers and Work Pass Holders involved, if warranted.
