NOTICE PAPER NO. 1281 AND 1284 OF 2026 FOR THE SITTING ON OR AFTER 10 SEPTEMBER 2026
QUESTION NO. 2961 and 2972 FOR ORAL ANSWER
MP: Ms Cassandra Lee
To ask the Acting Minister for Manpower whether Government-funded job redesign programmes, including the SkillsFuture Workforce Development Grant (Job Redesign+) under the Enterprise Workforce Transformation Package, incorporate family-friendly workplace practices as a design principle so that redesigned roles support employee retention across different life stages and caregiving responsibilities.
MP: Ms Yeo Wan Ling
To ask the Acting Minister for Manpower since the Tripartite Guidelines on Flexible Work Arrangement Requests took effect in December 2024 (a) how many employers have tapped on Government grants such as the Productivity Solutions Grant to implement flexible work arrangements; and (b) how many workers have gained access to such arrangements as a result.
Answer:
1. Ms Cassandra Lee and Ms Yeo Wan Ling have filed two Parliamentary Questions (40 and 41) on Government grants for the implementation of progressive workplace practices. Mr Speaker, with your permission, I will respond to these related questions together.
2. Employers can tap on the SkillsFuture Workforce Development Grant (Job Redesign+) to fund workforce transformation projects that redesign roles and work processes to better accommodate employees across different life stages and caregiving responsibilities. This supports family-friendly workplace practices, such as flexible work arrangements (FWAs).
3. Employers can also tap on the Productivity Solutions Grant (PSG) to offset the costs of purchasing IT solutions and equipment, including HR technology tools that facilitate FWAs. In 2025, about 7,900 unique entities were supported under Enterprise Singapore’s PSG to purchase IT solutions. We do not track whether the purchases were used to implement FWAs.
