Preparation For Collective Agreement

 

Format Of Submission
Collective agreements submitted to the Court for certification are to meet the following requirements and format:

Paper size: A4

Top margin: 3 cm                               Bottom margin: 3 cm
Right margin: 3 cm                             Left margin: 3.5 cm
Header: 1 cm                                      Footer: 1.5 cm
Spacing: One and a half spacing          Fonts: Arial 12

Numbering: Clause/paragraph Style

Main clause use numerals ie 1, 2, 3 etc.

Eg :   16.    SHIFT ALLOWANCE

Sub-clause use numerals in bracket ie (1), (2), (3) etc.

Eg :   (1)     A shift allowance shall be paid depending on
                  the duty roster as follows:

         (2)     Transport allowance will be paid -----

Paragraph use alphabets in bracket ie (a), (b), (c).

Eg:             (a)     1st shift -   nil

                  (b)     2nd shift -  ------

Sub-paragraph use Roman numerals in bracket ie (i), (ii) etc

Eg :                     (i)     Ending on or before 2400 hours - S$6.00

                          (ii)     Ending after 2400 hours            - S$8.00

Grouping: Clauses are to be grouped neatly and systematically based
on clauses on the nature of the terms/benefits and according to the
guidelines of the IAC for the grouping of collective agreement
clauses.

Language: English (British) only and not English (United States).
