Review and Amending the Draft

IAC will review the draft application and affidavit (where applicable) to ensure that they are complete, clear and correct. If these requirements are not met, IAC will contact the parties and discuss the changes to be made to the draft application and affidavit.


After amending the draft application and affidavit, the parties should re-submit a softcopy of the application and affidavit to IAC for final review.


IAC will inform the parties once the draft application and affidavit are found to be in order. They may then proceed to print out the final application and affidavit to be signed by the representatives of the employer and the union. Where there is no affidavit involved, i.e. where the CA is in force for at least 18 months, the representatives of the employer and the union may proceed to sign the application. Where there is an affidavit involved, i.e. where the CA is in force for less than 18 months, the representatives of the employer and the union are required to sign the application and affidavit at IAC in the presence of the Registrar or Assistant Registrar.
